Program Description
This program focuses on developing your abilities to maximize learning for students with mild, moderate and severe disabilities in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 general education classrooms. Courses and integrated experiences will increase your understanding and utilization of research based practices in literacy, specialized instruction, assessment, data-based decision making, collaboration, positive behavior interventions, and assistive technology for a wide range of learners.
Prior to completing the final semester, candidates must have 6 credits of college coursework in each of the following: English Language Arts, mathematics, social studies, and science.
Note: This is a masters program for individuals who hold a teaching certification in Childhood Education, Adolescence Education, or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
